How to Win the Heart of a Man or a Woman

We all want to know how to find love. Well balanced people fall in love with those who admire, listen and pay attention to them. It isn't about physical beauty as much as it is a mirror. If, when you look at someone else, they are admiring you then it feels good. Acceptance can be a hard thing to achieve in a difficult world and when you get it well, it is addicting. Help someone become addicted to you. It doesn't mean admire those who don't deserve it rather show those who do that you appreciate them.

• knowing when to give space

Practice your listening skills. Hear the other person.

Pay attention and listen to what they tell you. If they tell you they are not interested in being involved believe them. If on the other hand they want to share their thoughts and ideas with you listen and remember. It is very off putting to not remember the details of someones story. Look at the person who is talking to you so they know you are trying to connect. The worst thing to do is constantly gaze around the room like you are looking for something more interesting than your companion. You don't have to make constant eye contact but most of the time focus your eyes on them  

Care for others 

Show that you care about their situation and problems. That doesn't mean try to fix them. Just listen and be sympathetic or tell them they are wrong in your view. At least you are paying attention and care about the outcome. If they are a jerk about a situation you can tell them you think they should handle it differently. Let them figure out how. The point is you are not there to do repairs but you do care that they do well and have a happy life.

Really connecting to someone else will help you to know if you want their love or not. Don't just decide you want them without learning about who they really are in different situations. Love yourself enough to really evaluate and you won't give your heart to the wrong love. First love you then love them. Just like the oxygen mask rule on a airplane.
